• The design, with the tenant workload cluster sitting on the same subnet as the workstation, NAS, and Proxmox management interface, was out of date and outgrown for a residential network.
• The industry term for the problem is east-west traffic, which is not a defensible assumption for infrastructure that hosts tenant workloads.
