Packaging Council Inaugural Election Dates

The Packaging Council will be the technical decision-making body for interoperability specifications affecting Python packaging.
It will serve as a coordinating body for the Python packaging ecosystem, working with stakeholders from the wider community.
The election will fill all five seats on the PPC, with Cohort A receiving a two-year term and Cohort B receiving a one-year term.
The election timeline follows the PSF Board election, with each cohort elected for a full two-year term in alternating years.
Voting will occur in the same manner as the PSF Board election, with nominations open on July 28th, cut-off on August 11th, announcement on August 13th, voter affirmation on August 25th, and voting start on September 1st.
